What is photography?



1) Q. What question does Erik pose to the audience?  Is it really photography 

2) Q. What was Erik’s first real passion?  drawing  

3) Q. What conception of photography did Erik previously hold? That photography is a one move action. The process ends when you pull the trigger 

4) Q. How did this inspire him?  He wanted to create something different. Something where the process starts when you pull the trigger 

5) Q. What “common goal” do Erik’s photos have?  retaining the level of realism 

6) Q. Define realism as used in this context. Where you need a moment to think and figure out the trick. 

7) Q. What principles does he adhere to when creating an image? pictures combined should have the same perspective and light. Making it hard for someone to tell where the images begin and end, by editing and adding defects.

8) Q. Why is it easier to create a place rather than to find a place?  because that way you can decide how you want it to look, and how you pictured it. You don't have to compromise with the ideas in you head. 

9) Q. How does he plan the photos?  plans ahead, starts with a sketch and combined the pictures  


10) Q. What is his conclusion? All the tools are out there, the only thing that limits us is our imagination
