image response

As accurately as possible, describe what you see.  Look closely and record every visible detail.  Everything from composition to background to facial expressions is open for description.

1) Describe the mood of the image(s)  What is the expression on the faces of the models?  What is their posture?
The confusing thing about the mood of these images is that the background and the colors represents a happy and good mood. however, if you take a look at the womans faces, they show no emotion and look more sad then happy.

2) Think about technique.  How do you imagine these images were created? Oil paint? Photoshop?
I think these pictures were taken with a camera and then photo shopped, because the hair looks too real.

3) Ask yourself what role color plays in the images(?)  Does it accentuate the mood? I think color plays a big role in pictures. In these two, the color choice definitely makes them more interesting. The red background makes them more intense.

4) Finally, what do you think the artist intended to convey with these images?  What response was he/she attempting to evoke?  Do you think the effort was successful?
I think the artist wanted to show emotion in a more unique way. While looking at the pictures I get confused by what emotions he is trying to convey. Is the woman in the first picture sad or mad? Is the woman in the second picture vulnerable or confident? Its hard to tell, but that might be exactly what the artist wants to present. I think the artist was successful, the images was very interesting.
